AMBIENCE/CLIENTELE
You can't shoot half-heartedly at a theme like camp. With a kayak propped up in one corner, an open fire, Buck Hunter arcade game, and idiosyncratic cocktails like the Dirty Girl Scout, there is no room for misinterpretation. The bar works hard to stand out, but where Camp really succeeds is in the detail. Creature comforts include a selection of weathered board games and 80s movie classics projected onto the back wall if you get bored with the sports. Comically inspired graffiti in the restroom assures you no one is taking the theme too seriously, including the staff who playlist their own music from an iPod. No matter how busy it gets, and it does fill up, the flip-flopped crowd always shares a relaxed vibe.
